Laser De-painting of Aircraft Parts with Robot Support
The picture shows the paint stripping process of a radom, with the support of a robot. The work is automated and takes place in a closed cabinet.
Included in the complete SLCR system besides the laser itself, is the diagnostics with the controls, as well as the cabinet, peripheral equipment, filter and cooler.
Depainting of aircraft components
Depainting of aircraft surface areas especially composites
In the framework of overhaul and maintenance of aircraft, the paint stripping of sensitive surface areas is a constituent part.
The SLCR process, with its especially developed SLCR-diagnostics, offers a totally new alternative for the automated removal of paint systems from composite surfaces, regardless of the color and structure.
With the Airbus and Boeing approved SLCR process, for the first time layers can be removed either selectively – just to the primer, or completely – down to the substrate. In addition to being a clean process which works without other media, it has economical advantages, is user and environment friendly and improves the quality of the working environment.
