Tube De-coating Unit for brake lines and cooling tubes
Picture / video shows a SLCR Tube decoating unit type REA 06/12H. The tubes are automatically guided into the unit by way of a production line and separated. Depending on the programming, the tube will be worked along its whole length and will come out at the reverse side of the unit. The unit uses a PLC control.

Decoating of Cooling Tubes and Brake Lines in the Automobile Industry
The tubes consisting of various basic materials, are covered with a protective covering (cathodic submergence lacquering), water based as well as powder coatings. Additionally, there is often a thin metallic protective coat, e.g. zinc, which should not be removed. For the working processes following, the end of the tube must be de-coated completely. The success of brushing or peeling methods is very limited when having to consider precision, wear and the possible damages that could result.
For the SLCR-Process it is no problem to remove the various organic layers. Possible metallic protective coats are not damaged in the process, leaving an ideal working surface. Also, through the SLCR Process you are guaranteed a dust and residue free end product.
