SLCR - Process in the Automobile Industry

There are various areas of application possibilities for the SLCR Laser Process in the Automobile Industry. Major improvements can be expected through the use of SLCR Lasers:

• Decoating of cooling tubes and brake lines
• Removal of insulation on cables
• Cleaning of moulds
• De-coating of supporting tools and fixtures
• De-coating resp. Cleaning of tool boxes
• Preparation of gluing processes, e.g. the gluing of window panes
• Preparation or after treatment of welding seams

Advantages of the SLCR Laser Process

• The SLCR Laser offers easy and gentle surface treatment without media (e.g. chemical or other) application providing quality improvement,  and at the same time requires little handling efforts. Thus the expenditures are minimal compared to other processes.
• Many of the SLCR applications have proven their economical advantages and environmental friendliness in comparison to the conventional chemical or mechanical processes. The amount of waste to be disposed generated by the SLCR Process lies far below that of the conventional processes.
